The article suggests curriculum guidelines for the development of continuing education programs in temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and orofacial pain. It focuses on the interdisciplinary relationship that the field has with dentistry, medicine and psychology and recommends that all continuing education courses should have sound scientific basis and the materials should be documentable. The prerequisites mentioned is an experiential or educational background in dentistry. |
