| Abstrakt: | An encyclopedia entry about the opera "Doktor Faust" is presented. The opera was composed by Ferruccio Busoni and was initially performed on May 21, 1925. It is considered by various critics as Busoni's masterpiece. According to the author, "Doktor Faust" features an admixture of old and new techniques, with modern chromatic harmonies placed within the context of traditional musical forms and approaches. The opera was fully completed at the time of Busoni's death in 1924. |
