| Abstrakt: | The article discusses a court case wherein the defendant Charles F. Keating Jr. was charged with securities fraud involving the savings and loans (S&Ls) in the U.S. It tackles the buying of Lincoln Savings and Loan by Keating's American Continental Corporation (ACC) and the civil litigation and criminal prosecutions conducted after the collapse of ACC and Lincoln S&L. Judge Lance A. Ito held a guilty verdict on Keating but his sentence is not yet definite as of press time. |
