| Abstrakt: | The article discusses a court case wherein Leona Helmsley was charged with 47 criminal offenses concerning conspiracy, tax evasion, filing false tax returns, mail fraud and extortion. Her trial started on June 26 and ended on August 30, 1989. Judge John M. Walker found her guilty on 33 counts and sentenced him to 4 years in prison and more than $7 million in fines. |
