The article discusses the murder trial of the members of Murder Inc., an organized crime group in the U.S. in the 1920s to 1940s that carried out hundreds of murders on behalf of the mob. It relates why the leaders of Murder Inc. killed "Dutch" Schultz who wanted to kill Thomas E. Dewey who had gained 72 convictions against the national crime syndicate as chief assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. It presents highlights of the trials that took place in Brooklyn, New York City. All of the defendants were found guilty. |
