Abstrakt: Chapter 8 of the book "Multicultural Science Education: Theory, Practice, and Promise," edited by S. Maxwell Hines is presented. It is inferred that the failure of scientists and science educators to provide accurate and materials for the approaches of tie culture with science led to the development of alternative science materials. The criteria that would help teachers to avoid pitfalls of bad science are stated. It is cited that plans on making series on culturally relevant science materials for teachers are underway.
