Abstrakt:	A profile of French film director Jean Grémillion is presented. Grémillion was born on October 3, 1901 in Bayeux, Normandy and studied at l'Ecole Communale de Saint-Lô and Lycée de Brest. He served in the military from 1920-1922, and worked as titler and editor of short films since 1923. He was elected as president of Cinémathèque Française in 1944.
