The article presents a study which focused on the molecular variability of DR-1 and DR-2 within the pvpA gene in Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) isolates. A total of 15 MG isolates from Chinese poultry farms and three reference strains were classified by nested polymerase chain reaction and sequence analysis for two identical and directly repeated sequences, DR-1 and DR-1, within the putative cytadhesin pvpA gene. It found that since it is difficult to eradicate MG infection among chicken flocks in China, the main measures used in the clinical control of MG infection include vaccination and antibacterial drugs. |
