Aim: To survey the different possibilities available for the correction of lingually inclined incisors. Material and Methods: The use of computers for the definition of the correct force system has been developed and the results are demonstrated. A computer program, based on vectorial calculations, is useful in the appliance design. Discussion: The necessity for differentiated diagnosis and definition of the treatment goal is underlined. Conclusions: The efficiency of these force-based appliances is illustrated in case reports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
