Abstrakt: The article describes a selection of Anatolian village pile rugs, prayer rugs and yastiks which are said to represent the lyrical quality of the best Anatolian village weavings. A Konya prayer rug, woven before 1800, is a simple, angular design which was bought by the Milanese dealer Alberto Levi. It also describes a 19th century yastik which was taken from the Bethany Mendenhall Collection in Irvine, California.
