Abstrakt:	The article discusses the history of the Parliament of Kenya. The early colonial history of British East Africa is summarized, as is the establishment in 1907 of a Legislative Council, which existed until independence. Also discussed is the Kenyan Parliament established with independence in 1963, and existing into the 21st century. Timelines of major events in the history of each body are presented.
