Abstrakt: A biography of Anna Pavlovna D. Filosofova, Russian women's movement activist and philanthropist, is presented. She was born on April 5, 1837 into a wealthy and noble family in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She received her education at home and received a strict upbringing from her mother, married Vladimir Dmietrievich Filosofov, then official of the Ministry of War and Defence. She became interested in theosophy and joined Russian Theosophical Society in 1908.
