The Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation (TBWEF) completed a successful year in 2006. Program activities were carried out in all Texas and eastern New Mexico cotton fields, 6,980,073 mapped cotton acres. The program was active in 16 Texas and 4 New Mexico zones and compared with 2005, fewer boll weevils were trapped in all boll weevil eradication zones operated by the Texas Foundation.
