Abstrakt: A field study was conducted during 2006 to compare the effects of selected adjuvants combined with Def 6 and Resource cotton defoliant on the percent cotton defoliation and boll opening at 8 and 14 days after treatment (DAT) and shoot regrowth at 21 DAT. The combinations of Def 6 plus Prep and Dropp SC; Def 6 plus Finish Pro; and Cotton Quick alone each resulted in greater percent defoliation than the standard treatment mixture of Def 6 plus Prep. The standard treatment resulted in 84 and 86% defoliation and was increased to 96 and 98% at 8 and 14 DAT respectively with other treatment combinations. The standard treatment resulted in 91 and 96% open bolls and was increased to 97 and 99% at 8 and 14 DAT respectively with the combination of Def 6 plus Prep and Dropp SC. Shoot regrowth for the standard treatment was 43% at 21 DAT and was reduced to 24% with Def 6 plus Prep and Dropp SC; to 25% with Cotton Quick alone; and to 38% with Def 6 plus Cotton Quick.
