The article reports on the agreement between Smith Micro Software Inc. and Clearwire Corp. for connection management software in Aliso Viejo, California. The deal is aimed at Smith Micro's desire to be a player in the next generation of wireless networks. The deal allows cell phones to connect to Clearwire's mobile WiMax services. Smith Micro's connection manager allows wireless providers to connect to Clearwire's mobile WiMax service, which is sold under the brand name Clear. |
