The article reports on the research being conducted by Gordon McIntyre, a doctoral student from the Australian National University's Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, on the technology that can detect a person's emotional state by analysing their speech and facial expressions. He states that anxiety disorder is an umbrella term that covers different conditions. He adds that one possible application of his research is helping with the care of patients with dementia. |
