The article explores the process the author went through in discovering a novel United States Marine Corps 1814 pattern infantry cap plate. The author describes searching in the Sackets Habor region and discovering a variety of artifacts from the battle that took place there in 1813. The article discusses how the 1814 pattern was discovered and identified as a newly found design. |
