The article reports on the refusal of the Israeli Defense Ministry officials to allow the visit of Israeli citizen Salwa Salam Qupty to the grave of her Palestinian father, Faris Salam, in Galilee in 2008. The risk involved in allowing the visit is encouraging Palestinian refugees to claim a right to return to the villages from which they were expelled, according to government sources. A military base named Nahlal enclosed the Christian cemetery where Salam is buried. Qupty is planning to pursue the issue in the court. |
