Chapter 1 of the book "Daughters of Earth: Feminist Science Fiction in the Twentieth Century," is presented. It shows the short story entitled "The Fate of the Poseidonia," by Clare Winger Harris first published in June 1927 in the "Amazing Stories" magazine. A review of the said short story by Jane Donawerth using the framework of science fiction by women, early science fiction, racial ideology in the 1920s and advancement in technology in the early twentieth century is also presented. |
