The article discusses the purpose and role of the branches of the Queensland Nurses' Union (QNU). It highlights the importance of the branches towards policy negotiations and decision making. The branches provide democratic forum to address industrial and professional issues, and carry out union policy. They represent the members in negotiating with the employers as well as elect delegates to the annual conference of QNU. |
