Abstrakt: An interview with several artists including Henri Bergson, Paul Klee, and Frank Kupka is presented. When asked about his basic premise, Bergson refers to the work of nature, which confers on succession a peculiar virtue. Klee said that a certain impetus from without, the relation to earth and atmosphere, begets the capacity to grow. Kupka added that artists orient themselves amid the multitude of plastic forms in which life is clothed.
