Biomedical Prevention: Has Its Time Now Come?

Abstrakt: The article offers information related to the diagnostic and screening tests for HIV infection in the U.S. It states that the spread of HIV in the U.S. has dramatically decreased. According to the article, the national HIV-testing programs have led to the testing about 50% of Americans between the ages of 15-44 years. In addition, HIV testing promoted individual knowledge of HIV serostatus, identification of HIV-transmission routes that reduced unfounded fears about the spread of infection.
