A biography of Frank Chace, a jazz clarinet recorder, is presented. He was born on July 22, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois and was sent by the army to Los Angeles, California where he did a nine-month course at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Chace started to play clarinet after the Second World War, and in 1951 he took part in a recording session at Princeton with a band including multi-instrumentalist John Dengler and guitarist Marty Grosz. |
