The article presents tips on keeping a garden journal. Valerie Clinansmith shares that she puts a catalog picture of each plant on an index card, along with any information that was included. Gail Baxter uses a small notebook to keep track of all the plants she buys and she cuts out pictures from catalogs so she can remember what color they were and how much they cost. Linda Callahan uses a computer spreadsheet with the plant name, date purchased, store or company, date planted, location in the garden, size, and cost. |
