The article discusses how value chain analysis can be a tool for anticipating opportunities and challenges in workforce development. It states that value chain analysis is a key tool for understanding the source of a firm's competitiveness, which can be defined as continually sustained increases in productivity resulting in higher wages and living standards. It talks about the impact of emerging technologies on the nature of a firm's value chain and the way labor is deployed. It explains the application of value chain analysis in community colleges. It presents an analysis of the Egyptian tourism industry cluster's competitiveness. |
