Abstrakt: The article reports on the results of research which was conducted in an effort to examine the acute effects of different durations of passive stretching on the time course of musculoskeletal stiffness responses in the plantar flexor muscles. Researchers found that practical durations of passive stretching resulted in significant decreases in musculoskeletal stiffness but that the changes return to baseline levels within ten to twenty minutes.
