Abstrakt:	The article discusses techniques of artificial chordal replacement (ACR) for repair of mitral valve prolapse. According to the article, ACR can repair virtually all prolapse valves with the majority of valves having no residual leak and that repair failure/reoperation rate has been very low. The operative technique for mitral valve prolapse and generalized prolapse like Barlow's valves are also presented.
