Section 5, Chapter 1 of the book "Precambrian Geology of Finland: Key to the Evolution of the Fennoscandian Shield," edited by M. Lehtinen, P. A. Nurmi and O. T. Rämö is presented. It provides an overview on the evolution of Svecofennian volcanic rocks which occur in the Archean-Proterozoic boundary in the central part of the county. It discusses the survival of the Svecofennian crust during the collision of continents. |
