Chapter 15 of the book "International Cultural Tourism: Management, Implications and Cases" is presented. It discusses the uses of a virtual community-based information system, particularly how it supports communication between tourists and local people at cultural tourism destinations and how it helps community-based tourism development planning. It illustrates the implications of such a system through a case study on the development of the Campiello system in Chania, Greece. |
