| Abstrakt: | An encyclopedia entry for "phasmida" is presented. It refers to nocturnal exoptergote insects. Phasmida live in tropical, subtropical and temperate forests, savannas, grasslands and chaparral. An overview of the phylogeny and classification of phasmida is provided. Phasmida feed mainly on flowering plants, but some eat either gymnosperms or ferns. |
