| Abstrakt: | Chapter 9 of the book "Comprehensive and Molecular Phytopathology," edited by Yuri T. Dyakov, Vitaly G. Dzhavakhiya and Timo Korpela is presented. The chapter discusses considerations regarding the hypertensitivity, cell death processes and cell alteration during apoptosis and necrosis. Accordingly, hypertensitivity, which a natural defense of against viruses, bacteria and nematodes, is characterized by excessive cell death with an accumulation of toxic compounds in the dead cells. |
