Abstrakt:	Chapter Nine of the book "Depression to Decolonization: Barclays Bank in the West Indies, 1926-1962 ," by Kathleen E. A. Monteith is presented. It examines other strategies in the area of staffing and the adjustments made in the organizational control of operations in West Indies. It also highlights the adoptation of decentralized system of administration in the region, with local directorship formation in Barbados in 1952, as an important strategy Barclays Bank (DCO).
