The article describes the medieval window glass excavated from the Colchester Castle in Essex, England. The window glass excavated from the castle in 1964 include hundreds of greenish-tinted white fragments, flashed ruby fragments and murrey-coloured purple fragments, among others. All of the glass fragments can be dated from the 13th to the 16th century. According to the author, the grozed edges of the window glass showed the medieval characteristic of the glass, but its flatness and thinness depict an early 16th century characteristic. |
