Abstrakt: A biography of German artist Caspar Bernhard Hardy is presented. Hardy was well-known in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries for his allegorical figures in wax. A priest from Cologne, Germany, he was dedicated as much to art and sculpture as to the pastoral care of the soul. A selection of his creations are discussed.
