The article discusses the opening of the "Baluchi Woven Treasures--The Boucher Collection" exhibition, hosted by the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) in Indiana on April 12, 1997 in honor of Shirley Boucher. At the event, Niloo Imami-Paydar, the curator of textiles at the IMA, talked about how the museum acquired the Baluchi rug collection. She met Boucher through George O'Bannon whom she heard saying that Boucher was planning to donate the collection of her husband Colonel Jeff Boucher. The collection offers historical accounts of the Baluch tribes. |
