The article reports on the demand for health care professionals as the population grows older. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the education and health services sector provided 52,000 jobs in 2008 which includes pharmacists, nurses and health care workers. Nemours hiring manager Melissa Beckler states that advanced practice and critical care nurses are the most difficult to hire. There is also a necessity for medical technologists as the use of diagnostic tests increases. |
