An essay is presented on U.S. Marine expeditionary units (MEUs) deployments with Marine special operations companies. The author mentions the issues which emerged when the Marine Corps embarked on its formal association with U.S. Special Operations Command including the need for cautious reevaluation of command relationships. It provides impetus on the decision of the Marine Corps to join the special operations community after 20 years of reluctance. |
