Abstrakt: Recent methods for preparation of diastereoisomeric coordination complexes of O,O'-dibenzoyltartaric acid metal salts with hydroxycarboxylic acid esters, hydroxycarboxylic acids and alcohols as well as host-guest complexes of the same chiral dicarboxylic acid with racemic phosphine oxides and racemic alcohols have been reviewed in this chapter. Practical and theoretical aspects of these optical resolution processes have also been discussed.
