Abstrakt: The article highlights a study on soybean prices in the world market using time series econometric models. The study measures the elasticity of soybean price transmission in the world. It focuses on soybean prices in Rotterdam, Argentina and the U.S. and their effect on Brazil's domestic prices of soybeans. The results of the study validates the Law of One Price and that Brazil and Argentina can be price takers as long as they adjust faster to shocks in the U.S., which is considered as the price maker.
