The article offers information on the importance of undocumented cameras to the collector, dealer, and of museum curator to enable him to judge the relative historical significance and value of such cameras. The reference works and other publications suited for such use can be divided into catalogues, books covering large numbers of cameras, pricing guides, books consisting solely of reprints, and museum catalogues. It notes that the term catalogues have become the most widely referred-to works for collectors and dealers in cameras. |
