Abstrakt: The article focuses on the re-landscaping of the Weltzheimer/Johnson House in Oberlin, Ohio. In November 1970, the problem of storm water drainage experienced by Ellen H. Johnson, an art historian and the new owner of the house, was resolved finally by Hobbs. Hobbs found out that rainwater from neighboring land kept draining into the property, thus flooding and killing the evergreen trees and waterlogging the lawn. To alleviate it, Hobbs decided to build a catch basin and connect it to the abandoned sanitary sewer. Drainpipe was also installed along the west side of the driveway. Other landscape restoration jobs were made including the relocation of evergreen and deciduous trees.
