Abstrakt: The article details the construction of the Weltzheimer/Johnson House in Oberlin, Ohio handled by Frank Lloyd Wright's apprentice Ted Bower. The Weltzheimers' eagerness to help with the construction led them to write frequently to Wright, asking details for the materials that they will use in the project. Anxious and impatient, they decided to start doing work in hopes of speeding up the building process but much of their work only created complications when the actual construction began. Bower reported to Wright about the incident. Charley Weltzheimer decided to seek the help of a friend builder who laid out the initial foundation of the house. Bower, on the other hand, decided to consult with Wright about the materials.
