Abstrakt: This article focuses on Inuit artist Germaine Arnaktauyok, who created an original illustration while showing some of her previous prints at the 2008 Arts Alive symposium in Ottawa, Ontario. Her newest drawing, called "The Sun and the Moon," is a rendering of an old Inuit legend. It depicts the story of how the sun and the moon were formed. Details on her childhood, educational and training background, influences, career experiences and notable works, including "So Much to Talk About," "First Born" and "Always My Babies," are presented.
