The article offers information on the drill design software used by marching bands and drum corps in the United States to give band members only individual coordinates. According to Ken Tonaki, an orchestra director at Sycamore High School in Illinois, giving band members the entire drill formation is like giving them a copy of the score. It is said that drillwriting software is a simple way to extract coordinates out of a full drill chart. In coordinate system, students can be graded on their ability to perform drill since each member is required to learn an exact coordinate on each page. |
