The article focuses on the protestations raised over the transportation and automotive industry because of its role in global warming and the decline in supply of fossil fuels. The author discusses the effort invested by the sector in research and development of alternative fuel sources and in lowering their contribution in the global warming problem. In consideration to those efforts, the author believes that the environmental problem should not be blamed alone on the whole transport system for it only contribute 15% of the global warming problem and the motor industry has strived to reduce its carbon foot print. |
