The article discusses a clinical case wherein a woman with cerebral cysticercosis was treated with albendazole in elevated dosages. It notes that the patient has been carrying racemose cysticercosis with cysticercus found in the cisterna and parenchyma. The patient was administered albendazole for 30 days, intravenous (IV) dexamethasone for the first week, and oral corticoids following release from the hospital. It mentions that elevated dosages of albendazole is more effective over conventional dosages. |
