The article discusses the graphic work of American artist Angela Lorenz on stripped-down digital minimalism. It is stated that stripped-down digital minimalism exposes the similarities between the creation of laptop music and the creation of contemporary digital design. It also says that Lorenz's design appears as if the human eye or hand had played no great part in its creation. Accordingly, Lorenz acknowledges the similarities in the working practices between digital musicians and designers, which include loops, repetition, filters, distortion, interference, and remapping. |
