Abstrakt: This paper examines the issue of host-government intervention in the operations of multinational corporations in Nigeria. Data were collected from a sample of 167 U.S. companies with operations in Nigeria between 1975 and 1985. A self-administered questionnaire was mailed to managers or senior executives in charge of international operations. A total of twenty seven usable responses were received. The result indicated that the Nigeria government intervened significantly in the operations of subsidiaries of U.S.-based multinational companies between 1975 and 1985. Implications and future research directions were suggested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
