Abstrakt:	The article examines the space of the National Museum Australia (NMA). It states that the NMA has a complex interplay between different spatial levels and that the interplay allows the museum to architecturally emphasize internal tensions. The internal tensions describe the monumental and the protean monumental spaces of the museum. The NMA's space was generated by the Boolean Knot and the Boolean architecture involves three-dimensional elements to produce space from the subsets braced by their connection, intersection, and complementation.
