Abstrakt: The non-contact guide system which guides an elevator car along guide rails with gaps can reduce vibration and noise due to irregularity, surface state, or joints of the guide rail even if the elevator runs at high speed. This point distinguishes the non contact guide system from the contact guide system such as roller guides. Applying maglev technology by zero power control to the elevator realized the non-contact guide system. The zero power control needs to use the hybrid magnet unit that combines permanent magnets and electromagnets. As the electromagnetic characteristic of the hybrid magnet unit varies widely depending on its figuration and configuration, it is necessary to optimize it. This paper introduces the configuration of the magnet unit which is suitable for mounting on the elevator car and reports the kinetic responses of the non-contact guide system in experiments.
